Quinton ‘Rampage’ Jackson Vs. Glover Teixeira Booked For UFC 153 In Brazil

The UFC career of Quinton “Rampage” Jackson will likely come to an end this fall, as Jackson has signed to face Glover Teixeira at UFC 153.

UFC 153 goes down in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil at the HSBC Arena. So far, it is the lone fight signed to the event, though Jose Aldo could be featured in the main event, defending his UFC featherweight title against Erik Koch.

Jackson has dropped his last two bouts inside the Octagon, falling to Jon Jones for the UFC 205-pound title and to Ryan Bader. He has made it known that he wants to finish out his contract – which has just the one fight remaining – and leave the promotion.

Teixeira finally was able to make his debut with the UFC recently, dominating Kyle Kingsbury for a victory. He was rumored to be an opponent for Mauricio “Shogun” Rua, but Rua turned down the fight.

In fact, Rua and Jackson were set to meet before “Rampage” was forced out for several months to have his knees operated on.

UFC officials confirmed the fight with the Brazilian news source SporTV.

At least rampage has bigger balls than shogun. I think Dana believes in texeira and is looking to jump his career over previous big names.

Rampage has nothing to loose hes lost his last 2 fights and is on his way out when he gets ko`d by The Glove. Highly sexual match by the way!

amateur writing. The first sentence suggests that Quentin’s leaving the promotion is in direct correlation to fighting against Glover. Also, words like ‘dominating’ dont work for Teixera vs Kingsbury as it implies a one sided definition. Use the right word. This site’s writing has gone to shit.

I think Rampage could take the W if he is real serious about it and gets real motivated. This match will be interesting, but I think it would be more interesting to see him matched up with Sonnen. That would be sick. I mean, from this vid, http://youtu.be/LvwcYozkV-M it will be real interesting to see some more talks exchanged and then one party get heated up.
