Donald Cerrone-Melvin Guillard Take Co-Main Event Slot For UFC 150

Donald Cerrone asked to be on the UFC 150 card because it takes place near his hometown of Colorado Springs.

Well, “Cowboy” was given a position, and it’s a big one as he has signed to face Melvin Guillard in the co-main event.

UFC 150 takes place August 11 from Denver’s Pepsi Center. The lightweight championship will be defended in the main event, as Benson Henderson faces Frankie Edgar.

Cerrone (18-4) has had a near flawless UFC career, winning five of six fights. His lone loss came to Nate Diaz last year.

Guillard (47-11-3) rebounded to defeat Fabricio Camoes in his most recent Octagon appearance. He is 11-6 with the UFC.

What I meant was since they’re team mates it should be a good battle, hopefully neither goes with a Greg Jackson lay and pray or stall game plan

I believe that Melvin moved to the Blackzillians with Rashad. However, I should be interesting to see if Donald takes this to the ground where he will have a HUGE advantage.
