Shane Carwin Sends Warning To Roy Nelson That TUF ‘Is Not A Joke’

Former UFC interim heavyweight champion Shane Carwin has spent several months on the sidelines rehabbing from back surgery. Now, Carwin has been given the opportunity to coach on The Ultimate Fighter opposite Roy Nelson.

Everyone knows Nelson for his fun-loving attitude. However, the former winner of TUF doesn’t have a fan in Carwin, as the heavyweight posted on his own personal website recently.

This will be the first time in my adult life that I won’t be working. I will just be focusing on developing a team to win the show and focusing on preparing to knock Roy Nelson out. That is my new job and my new passion. I know Roy likes to be the UFC’s Jester but he better know this is not a joke for me.

The show will begin on FX this September. It will go back to the taped format that was used prior to the first season of FX involving live fights.

Carwin and Nelson will face each other after the show concludes.

Wow just months ago the promotional “genius” Dana white was trying to sell us on LIVE FIGHTS on fx ? live fights was fun and a nice change to da TUF format but evidentally wasnt much fun for the crew of FX to have to work around. I just hope the show can produce some talent yes TALENT is what we really have been craving from this crap show for so long otherwise dont waste our time as viewers n fans , unless they invite fighters good enought to step right into whatever division they are at and compete with the top 15 ! if not send em to strikeforce they need talent more but would be a perfect starter league for these amateurs slash pro fighters. UFC is not something you should be rewarded to by beating 3-4 marginal caliber opponents- they should be able to fight ufc fighters before receiving a contract. Joe Rogan what fun it would be to see UFC fighters fight live on a friday night inside the TUF gym while its quiet. Why not bring back a veteran season or better yet a contender season equaling a title shot if won. There already too many names under contract for any newcomers to be groomed and have the energy and guidance of time for them to be developed properly. I want to see a veteran season with whom you ask ?? anyone care to drop names and make this a thread topic on any forums please do and get word out about this
