Tim Boetsch Looking Forward To A War With Hector Lombard

Former Bellator middleweight champion Hector Lombard won’t be entering the UFC with an easy opponent.

No, Lombard is set to square off with Tim Boetsch in the co-main event of UFC 149: Faber vs. Barao this Saturday from Calgary, Alberta, Canada.

Boetsch (15-4) is looking forward to a slugfest with Lombard, who has not lost since 2006.

“This guy comes to fight every time,” said Boetsch, during a recent appearance on MMAjunkie Radio. “He’s coming to try and take my head off. I don’t think he’s going to have any jitters at all coming into the UFC.”

Boetsch placed himself in fine position in the jumbled middleweight divison by besting former contender Yushin Okami earlier this year. He is 6-3 in his UFC career, including wins in six of his last seven fights.

lombard should get a title shot after he beats this guy

I wouldn’t count Tim out on this one. After all this is the big league and Lombard hasnt proven himself yet. I don’t know why people keep saying he’s the best.

If Lombard wins and Finishes Tim with a impressive Hector Lombard style KO then UFC should be smart and give him the Titleshot since he does have a bigger name than Weidman however Chris has faced better foes in the UFC and perhaps mma record wise. But cmon the hype with Hector is huge like Anderson Silva size = equaling a huge fantasy matchup that fans have had forever it seems. Now its possible but only if Lombard can get past Boetsch who looks great at 185. Silva will ask for him to fight 3 more times ?? how messedup is that coming from a guy who earned his title shot after defeating Chris Leben in his one and only fight in the UFC at 185 before defeating Rich Frankklin who was an american and said yes I will fight this guy. Rich Franklin doesnt turn down fights and play politician with the ufc & Joe silva trying to do his job providing the fans and fighters with the best possible matchups. So silva quit being a pussy and accept whomever is presented to you Weidman 1st then Lombard will earn his shot soon and 3rd I hope is Bisping since he seems to be more deserving than others. Another way of looking at this MW picture is Munoz was the top dog but was his past wins more impressive than Chris Weidman’s ?? i dont know but Chris won and he should of also earned the same respect and hype Munoz was recieving from boss DW and zuffa as a whole. Munoz was head kicked KTFO by Matt Hamill

First off, Bisping is a bum. I think that he would get beat by Weidman, Munoz, Lombard or Boetsch. Weidman looked amazing against Munoz whom I had picked to dismantle Sonnen when they were first matched up. So bare minimum if Lombard wins he should face Weidman, if he loses just give it to Weidman. Oh ya, Rockhold is a bum too.
