Alan Belcher just wants the opportunity to prove himself against the best middleweights in the world.
Vitor Belfort is looking to work his way back towards a title shot with UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva.
So, with neither fighter currently signed to face anyone, it seems a like a bout between the two makes perfect sense, right? Belfort and Belcher agree, as the two came to a verbal agreement via Twitter on Tuesday.
We told joe were in. Waiting for you to tell him brother. RT @vitorbelfort: #belcher lets make this fight #ufcrioin oct 13 @alanbelcherufc

The planned date would be October in Brazil at UFC 153. If these two decide to sign a contract, that would leave Chris Weidman as the lone middleweight available out there with no opponent on the horizon.
