Rich Franklin’s Take On Possible Next Opponent

From the sound of it, Ace isn’t too interested in fighting Cung Le which makes sense since Le recently lost to Wanderlei Silva who Franklin even more recenly bested for the second time. He does mention Bisping, Stann, and Weidman as top 5 opponents, and judging by his tone, it’s safe to assume those are more interesting fights to Franklin who seems set on facing A. Silva for a third and final time.

He really wants another shot at Silva? He got destroyed both time he faced him and Silva improved a lot more than he did since then. And even thought they’re about the same age, he looks like an old man in the octagon while Silva looks fresh out of college still.

It’s his choice, but that could be hazardous to his health

I was pretty surprised myself, but hey, the guy’s got guts. You have to give him that.

      • LeoLarios

The same guts that got pounded in the Muy tai clinch?

        • Jacob Berezansky

Ha, guts are guts. I’m not advocating for a Franklin win, but he’s at least going for it. He’s a competitor. He has my respect.

            No doubt

True, he got destroyed both times, although the second time around he started out pretty well. He needs to do more of that :-)
