Rory MacDonald Has It In His Mind To Take Out BJ Penn

Rory MacDonald will have received some of the best advice out there by the time he steps inside the Octagon with BJ Penn at UFC 152: Benavidez vs. Johnson.

That’s because MacDonald is a close friend and training partner of UFC welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre. Penn has lost twice to GSP, including a TKO defeat back in 2009.

During a recent press conference to announce UFC 152, MacDonald (13-1) informed those in attendance that he will do everything in his power to take out Penn (16-8-2).

“He’s upset because Georges whooped him but I’m going to hurt him even worse,” MacDonald said.

Penn announced his retirement last year after a loss to Nick Diaz, but decided that chance to prove himself against a member of Tri-Star Gym was worth coming out of retirement for.

For MacDonald, he gets an opportunity to earn his fourth consecutive victory since a loss to current interim UFC welterweight champion Carlos Condit, and improve his stock in the 170-pound division.

Sounds like rory is fired up,which is probably bj’s gameplan in an attempt to throw rory off his gameplan but hopefully the coaches will calm rory and he can rip through bj like gsp did
