Dominick Cruz Leaving His Return Date In Hands Of Professionals

UFC bantamweight champion Dominick Cruz is taking the smart road ahead when it comes to recovering from his knee surgery.

Cruz, during a recent appearance on Inside MMA, informed the hosts that he will leave his return date in the hands of the people who know best: his doctors.

It if was up to me, I’d be fighting tomorrow. But the doctor says, ‘Your knee won’t be ready tomorrow.’ So I say, ‘Okay, doc, I guess that’s why they pay you the big bucks.’

Cruz will likely meet Renan Barao when he does return, as Barao recently captured the interim UFC bantamweight championship. Barao hasn’t lost since his professional debut, over 30 fights ago.

I have the answer for the way Barao fights. I present a lot of problems for anyone in the division.
