I got an MRI and it showed that I had torn cartilage under my knee cap.”
Iaquinta had surgery to have the torn piece of cartilage removed to have that space repaired. He said he’ll likely be on crutches for the next month before being able to rehab his way to health.
While his recovery time is unknown, Iaquinta did say he plans to fight against inside the Octagon.
“(The UFC has) not said anything to me about a future fight yet,” the New York-native said. “At this point, I am just trying to get my knee healed up and get back in the gym.”
