Jamie Varner, DaMarques Johnson and Wagner Prado have each been handed indefinite suspensions following fights at UFC on Fox: Shogun vs. Vera this past weekend. The medical suspensions were first reported by The Underground.
Varner and Johnson both lost, while Prado was handed a no-contest vs. Phil Davis after an eye poke.
Mauricio “Shogun” Rua, who downed Brandon Vera in the main event, was handed a 45-day suspension. Vera received a 60-day suspension for a cut on his eye.
Mike Swick and Oli Thompson each were handed 180-day suspensions, while Ulysses Gomez, John Moraga and Cole Miller have 60 days. Ryan Bader was given a 45-day suspension.
The majority of these, including the indefinite ones, can be lifted by a physician.
