Nate Diaz made sure he would remain an Octagon fighter, as UFC president Dana White sent out a message on Twitter late Monday night confirming a new contract had been signed.

Diaz has stated he would wait for a shot at the UFC lightweight title. He earned his spot in the division by besting Donald Cerrone and Jim Miller in recent fights.
