Both former UFC light heavyweight champions Mauricio “Shogun” Rua and Lyoto Machida each walked away with wins and checks of over $200,000 for their efforts at UFC on Fox: Shogun vs. Vera recently.
The numbers, which were first reported by MMA Mania, were confirmed through the California Athletic Commission.
Rua, who defeated Brandon Vera in the main event, earned $240,000. Machida topped Ryan Bader and picked up $200,000 and the No. 1 contender status in the division.
