Sarah Kaufman Doesn’t Believe Ronda Rousey’s Armbar Is ‘Unstoppable’

Sarah Kaufman is a former Strikeforce women’s champion.

Next Saturday night, Kaufman will meet Ronda Rousey for the title she once held at Strikeforce: Rousey vs. Kaufman. The main card airs on Showtime from San Diego.

Rousey has won all five of her professional fights via armbar. The former Olympic medalist has yet to be pushed out of the first round, including her recent win over Miesha Tate.

“I don’t think it’s unstoppable,” said Kaufman, of Rousey’s armbar, during a recent media conference call. “It doesn’t make me nervous. It’s something I’m prepared for; it’s an armbar. People can have this mystique behind someone because they have the same submission over and over again, but someone has to break it.”

Kaufman is 15-1 in her career, including 10 knockout victories. Her recent victory over Alexis Davis earned her the title shot.
