Benson Henderson Not A Big Fan Of Film Study

UFC lightweight champion Benson Henderson isn’t much of a learner through video watching it would seem.

Henderson, who will defend his title against Frankie Edgar this evening at UFC 150, has only watched the first meeting between the two twice.

“I don’t do too much studying,” said Henderson, in an interview with Fuel TV. “I will watch the fight twice. One time for fun, just to watch as a fan of the MMA and one time to watch and break down what I need to do better.”

Henderson admitted that his head coach will watch the fight, “75 times in one week,” and that he breaks things down and informs “Smooth” what he needs to do differently.

This will not be the first title defense of Henderson’s MMA career, as he was also the WEC lightweight champion. He dropped that belt to Anthony Pettis before the promotion was absorbed by the UFC.

“I do like having the bull’s eye on my back,” Henderson said, of defending the belt. “I like having the belt around my waist. It makes me hungry, keeps me hungry and I’m excited.”
