Michael Bisping On Facing Brian Stann: ‘If I Beat Him, I Believe I Will Get A Title Shot’

Michael Bisping and Brian Stann each have the same focus going into their September meeting at UFC 152: Benavidez vs. Johnson.

With UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva currently without a No. 1 contender, Bisping and Stann feel like they can become that man with a convincing victory over the other.

Recently, Bisping (22-4) discussed his prospects with MMA Fight Corner.

I’ve got to go out there, I’ve got to beat him; I’m gonna look good and I’ve gotta fight. I’m going to put on the performance of my lifetime. Brian Stann ain’t no pushover. If I do that, I believe I will get a title shot.

Bisping was defeated twice before while on the cusp of fighting for the belt. Dan Henderson knocked him out a few years ago after they coached opposite one another on The Ultimate Fighter, and Chael Sonnen earned a decision over “The Count” earlier this year.

I think if he got the shot after beating stann it shouldn’t be disputable, many thought bisping won against chael, even people who don’t like him.
