UFC lightweight champion Benson Henderson has been suspended indefinitely by the Colorado Athletic Commission.
Henderson defeated Frankie Edgar in the main event of UFC 150: Henderson vs. Edgar II this past weekend.
Despite the suspension, Henderson is already locked into his next match. “Smooth” will defend his title against Nate Diaz in December at UFC on Fox 5. The commission did not reveal the exact reason for Henderson’s suspension, though he showed no signs of issues after the win.
MMAWeekly.com confirmed the medical suspension on Wednesday. The indefinite suspensions can be cleared by a physician.
