Cris Cyborg Really, Really Wants To Face Ronda Rousey

Cris Cyborg is currently serving a suspension for a failed post-fight drug test earlier this year.

Once she is eligible to re-apply for her fight license, the former Strikeforce champion wants to meet Ronda Rousey.

However, Cyborg has no plans to drop down to 135 pounds to meet Rousey, who defends her title this Saturday night against Sarah Kaufman at Strikeforce: Rousey vs. Kaufman. Cyborg was a guest on The MMA Hour recently and discussed the former Olympian.

“I really wanna fight Ronda, I really want to. She says bad things about me. I never say bad things about my opponent. She started at 145, and she’s running to 135. She’s running to not fight me. When we’re in the Octagon, we’ll see if she says anything. And if she says anything, I can punch her.”

For her part, Rousey has remained focused on Kaufman in interviews, but you can imagine “Rowdy” will make sure to say what she wants if she gets past Kaufman.
