Strikeforce: Rousey Vs. Kaufman Generates Strongest Number Of 2012 For Showtime

Strikeforce: Rousey vs. Kaufman posted a strong number in terms of viewership this past weekend, topping the previous Strikeforce cards on Showtime for 2012.

The event, which featured Ronda Rousey defending her Strikeforce bantamweight title against Sarah Kaufman, drew in 530,000 viewers – the fifth-best total for all Showtime cards. The number reached 676,000 during the Rousey-Kaufman main event in which “Rowdy” scored a submission victory in just 54 seconds.

Rousey and Kaufman surpassed the previous best total for 2012. That card boasted Rousey and Miesha Tate, as Rousey earned the Strikeforce title. The event was watched by 472,000 viewers.

Still at the top of the charts is the early 2011 event featuring Fedor Emelianenko and Antonio Silva. That card drew 741,000 viewers.

The numbers were confirmed by MMAjunkie.com with an industry source. Also, the combined number with the immediate replay reached nearly 900,000.
