A pair of fights are set to take place when the UFC enters China for the first time.
Mac Danzig confirmed on Twitter that he will face Takanori Gomi, while Sherdog.com reported that Thiago Silva-Stanislav Nedkov will meet on November 10 from Macau, China.
UFC on Fuel TV 6 is expected to be headlined by a middleweight clash between Rich Franklin and Cung Le. It will be the first UFC card to take place in China.
Danzig (21-9-1) wrote on Twitter, “I finally have a fight. I’ll be fighting Takanori Gomi in Macau, China on November 10th.” Danzig has alternated wins and losses in each of his previous six bouts, including a win over Efrain Escudero most recently.
Gomi is a former Pride champion who stopped Eiji Mitsuokua when the UFC invaded Japan earlier this year. “The Fireball Kid” sports a mark of 2-2 in his last four fights.
Silva (14-2-1) is looking to rebound from a loss to Alexander Gustafsson in his first fight back from a suspension for a banned substance.
Nedkov (12-0), meanwhile, is 1-0 in the UFC after stopping Luiz Cane last year. Visa issues kept him from fighting Fabio Maldonado at UFC 142.
