Carlos Condit is the interim UFC welterweight champion.
After Georges St-Pierre, the reigning UFC welterweight champion, went down with an injury, the UFC created an interim title bout and placed Condit against Nick Diaz.
The obvious goal was to eventually end up with GSP vs. Diaz.
However, Condit scored a decision victory, the interim title and a meeting with St-Pierre in November at UFC 154.
Now, as talk of a potential super-fight between GSP and UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva continues to heat up, Condit’s manager is making it known that “The Natural Born Killer” would like nothing more than to spoil the party for a second time.
“(Condit) doesn’t care about none of this stuff; he just sits there and says, ‘Hey, I spoiled their plans once with Nick, I’ll spoil it again with Georges,’” said Malki Kawa, in a recent interview with MMA Weekly.
Roberts also added that people need to stop looking over Condit in his match up with St-Pierre and focusing in on a GSP-Silva fight.
St-Pierre is returning to the Octagon for the first time in over a year. He suffered a minor injury that knocked him out of a fight in 2011 and suffered a more serious issue earlier this year that forced him to undergo surgery.
