UFC featherweight champion Jose Aldo was hit by a car over the weekend in his native Brazil. Aldo was on his motorcycle at the time of the accident.

His coach, Andre Pederneiras, told Tatame.com that Aldo escaped the incident without any major injuries.

“Our only concern is the swollen foot, but there was no fracture,” Pederneiras said. “He is gonna rest this week and get back to training next week.”

Pederneiras also said that “Scarface” had minor scratches on his knee, leg and butt, but should have no issues come October when he steps inside the Octagon with Frankie Edgar at UFC 153.
