Lorenz Larkin has made one appearance at middleweight for Strikeforce.
Larkin defeated Robbie Lawler earlier this year, and that performance seems to be enough to get Larkin a shot at Strikeforce middleweight champion Luke Rockhold.
MMA Weekly has reported that Larkin will face Rockhold this November in the co-main event to the Daniel Cormier-Frank Mir card in Oklahoma City.
Larkin (13-0) dropped down from 205 pounds after a loss to Muhammed “King Mo” Lawal. The defeat, however, was overturned to a no-contest after Lawal failed his post-fight drug test.
Rockhold (10-1) was expected to face former champion Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza, even asking Strikeforce for the match on a number of occasions.
