Jon Jones With Some Choice Words For Dan Henderson

UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones has dealt with trash-talk from several opponents.

When Dan Henderson started referring to “Bones” as a kid, and calling him sloppy for some of his inside-the-Octagon actions, Jones took exception.

Here was Henderson, a world-class wrestler, calling him out much like Quinton “Rampage” Jackson and Rashad Evans had done before.

Well, we all know by now that the Jones-Henderson bout failed to take place due to a knee injury suffered by “Hendo.” And, it appears that Jones believes Henderson was lucky that he did pull out of the fight.

“Dan Henderson called me a kid 1,000 times leading up to that fight and we never even fought,” said Jones, in an interview with the Toronto Sun. “He came out with this ad that say, ‘Buy a Hendo shirt and get a free Jon Jones shirt to dry your car off with. You’re making fun of me, yet you got hurt and dodged a bullet? You’re sitting at home with ice on your knee and I’m here doing push-ups again because I thought my camp should have been over. You should shut up and be grateful you dodged a bullet.”

Jones took much of the heat from the UFC 151 fallout, but it appears that he has heard enough of that. Next up for Jones will be Vitor Belfort at UFC 152 later this month.

Hah, this bitch still has the nerve to talk s*** about Dan pulling out with an injury after he was too scared to fight chael, talk about deception,he’s the same mother f***er who sent Dan a get well soon message via Twitter when all the heat was on him for not wanting to fight on short notice and his fans still say hes not two faced

Every time the situation seems to be dying down, Jones says something stupid and adds fresh fuel to the fire. I guess Jones wants everyone to hate him.

Wow, it’s funny how quickly the Jon Jones bandwagon died down. A few months ago everybody loved the guy and couldn’t get enough of him. Then he gets a DUI and hides from Chael Sonnen, and FINALLY everybody starts to learn what I’ve been saying all along.

Just for the record, I disliked Jones and his phony act waaaaay before hating Jon Jones became cool. I’ve been telling you guys about the Greg Jackson philosophy too, but nobody wanted to listen to that either. Instead you all voted him “best coach in MMA” for the last 5 years. Hate to say it, but I told you so. This is the product of the Jackson “play it safe” philosophy. You get boring fights and timid fighters. The “Jacksonization” of MMA is ruining the sport. And it’s spreading to other camps and fighters too.

And Jon, Henderson is old enough to be your father. You will always be considered a “kid” to him. I’m 5 years older than you, and older people still call me a kid. As a top three fighter, you turned down a fight against a guy one weight class below you, who didn’t have a training camp, and just got knocked out in his last fight. You really can’t talk shit right now. You’re an incredible athlete and a great fighter, but you are a psychologically soft and immature child. Stop pouting and pointing fingers at people.
