Michael Bisping Focused On Brian Stann First, Anderson Silva Second

Michael Bisping doesn’t see his upcoming fight at UFC 152 as England vs. the U.S.

No, Bisping is only focused on defeating Brian Stann and earning his shot at UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva.

Bisping and Stann will collide September 22 in Toronto as part of the main card.

This isn’t U.K. vs. America. This is Michael Bisping vs. Brian Stann. It’s an individual sport and come the 22nd of September, I’m going to individually kick the crap out of Brian Stann.

Bisping (22-4) has been close to securing a shot at Silva in the past, but was knocked out by Dan Henderson and lost a close decision to Chael Sonnen earlier this year.

I want my shot. People have had their shot. Others have had their shot, stepped in their and fallen over with a little slap. I won’t do that, I’ll turn up to fight. Anderson Silva will be in the fight of his life when we fight, and we will fight. I will beat Brian Stann and I will fight Anderson Silva.

Nothing has been confirmed, but it appears that the winner of Bisping-Stann will likely move into a pivotal spot in the middleweight pecking order.
