Dan Henderson Still Hoping For Future UFC Title Shot

Dan Henderson waited patiently on the sidelines for months to secure his shot at the UFC light heavyweight title.

However, a knee injury knocked Henderson out of his scheduled fight with UFC 205-pound champion Jon Jones at UFC 151. Now, Jones will face Vitor Belfort, while Henderson recovers and waits again.

During a mini-Q&A session with fans on Twitter, Henderson answered a few important questions involving his future inside the Octagon.

  • Ben Rage

I don’t like how non ranked fighters are getting title fights. Vitor isn’t ranked in the top ten at light heavy and neither is Sonnen. They are both phenomenal fighters and I have nothing against them and I wouldn’t mind seeing either of them fight Jon Jones. But if this is truly a sport then they should earn the right to face the champ.

But what if the guys who has earned the right, all refuse?

      • Ben Rage

I guess you make a valid point. Shogun and Machida both declined didn’t they?

  • LeoLarios

I’m getting tired of waiting to see Hendo fight! Seems like forever since the shogun fight.
