Former Strikeforce light heavyweight champion Muhammed “King Mo” Lawal has kept himself busy while rehabbing and serving out a suspension by doing commentary.
In the coming months, Lawal will add another job to his docket as he joins up with TNA, a professional wrestling promotion.
Lawal, who us barred from competing in MMA until 2013, signed a joint contract with TNA and Bellator. The two will televising programming on Spike TV beginning next year, and Lawal will be part of both promotions.
“Probably late October (for TNA), and then obviously he’ll do as much ‘Impact’ as he can until he has to get hyper-focused on his first fight for us, which will be right at the beginning of January,” said Bellator CEO Bjorn Rebney in a recent interview with MMAJunkie.com.
Lawal has always shown a flare for the dramatics in regards to his style, as Rebney said, “He’s got an electrifying personality.”
