Cole Konrad, Bellator Heavyweight Champion, Leaves MMA For Financial Job

Bellator heavyweight champion Cole Konrad has retired from fighting, taking a job with the Minnesota-based firm North Central Trading, according to a report by TwinCities.com.

Konrad, who won the title in the inaugural Bellator heavyweight tournament, won all nine of his professional fights. He last defended the belt in March, submitting Eric Prindle.

Konrad was an NCAA wrestling champion at the University of Minnesota. He will specialize in trading milk products in his new job.

Bellator has yet to confirm the news, or announce what will happen with the title.
