Former Bellator lightweight champion Eddie Alvarez will return to action this October when he takes on Patricky Pitbull in the main event of Bellator 76.
The card goes down October 12 from the Caesars Windsor in Canada.
Alvarez could be making his final appearance for the promotion, as his contract expires after the bout.
“Eddie and Pitbull are two of the most explosive, dynamic lightweights in MMA,” Bellator CEO Bjorn Rebney said. “This is a fight I’ve wanted to see for the last two years.”
Along with Alvarez-Pitbull, the card will also feature four quarterfinal round fights in the season seven featherweight tournament.
The bouts are Rad Martinez-Nazareno Malegarie; Akop Stepanyan-Wagnney Fabiano; Mike Richman-Jeremy Spoon; and Shabulat Shamhalaev-Cody Bollinger. The eight fighters sport a combined MMA record of 106-15 and will be competing for a future Bellator title shot and $100,000.
