Rampage Still Thinks He Can Beat Jon Jones

Rampage Jackson faced humiliating defeat at the hands of Jones back in September of last year. Jackson has only fought one time since then; it resulted in a loss to Ryan Bader in February of 2012, bringing Jackson to his first ever back-to-back losses as a professional mixed martial artist. Now, for whatever reason, Jackson thinks he has the formula to stop his superior adversary.

Humiliating defeat? Rampage was the first guy to ever take Jones into the championship rounds, after Jones spent most of the fight avoiding any meaningful exchanges and running from the power hand of Rampage. During the post-fight press conference, Jones even admitted to running and being afraid to engage. Jones might have got the win. But it was not an impressive or dominant win by anybody’s metrics.

The only thing humiliating is the way Jones wrecked his Chrysler while driving with no insurance. Then wrecked his Bentley while driving drunk a year later. Then ran away from a fight with a middleweight who lost in his previous two title shots. All after trying to paint this image of a “god-fearing”, squeaky clean, good guy and people’s champion. That’s far more humiliating than an aging Rampage losing in the fourth round of a championship fight.

I don’t know where you people come up with this stuff. I understand that like most MMA commentators, you guys aren’t real journalists or writers. But you can at least make a token attempt to demonstrate a glimmer of insight.

Well, I’m sorry you disagree with an opinion, but that’s all it is. Also, Jackson agrees with me. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r9Wsu0svM_A&feature=related
