Georges St-Pierre can see the finish line after months of rehab and sitting on the sidelines.
St-Pierre will return to the Octagon for the first time since 2011 when he faces Carlos Condit at UFC 154 in November.
“I’m excited to finally get back in the Octagon and reclaim my spot as the UFC welterweight champion,” said St-Pierre who will attend a special press conference on Thursday to officially announce the event. “Carlos Condit is a very tough opponent. I respect him a lot and look forward to fighting him in front of my hometown fans in Montreal.”
The winner on November 17 will leave the unified UFC welterweight champion. Condit (28-5) defeated Nick Diaz to earn the interim belt, while St-Pierre (22-2) last defended his title vs. Jake Shields.
