Clay Guida Following Frankie Edgar To Featherweight Division

Clay Guida has decided to make a change in weight classes, announcing through VFD Sports Marketing that his next fight will take place at featherweight.

Guida (29-13) was defeated by Gray Maynard in his last fight. That took place at 155 pounds.

‘The Carpenter’ is going to explore a new job site at the 145-pound division in the new year. I plan on making a run at the foreman or superintendent position right out of the gates. I hope you guys packed a lunch.

Guida will be following former UFC lightweight champion Frankie Edgar to 145 pounds. Guida is 9-7 in his UFC career.

the ufc could make guida vs edgar since it never happened at 155, and with aldo injured im sure Edgar might go back in line like Dana originally stated he would need to. Guida is making this move cuz he came up short twice recently bidding his way towards titleshots. This is a smart move for him and maybe it will make some people forget about his last performance vs Gray ? if u can call it that.
