Soon-to-be opponents BJ Penn and Rory MacDonald must have had a little free time between training sessions recently.
Penn, a former UFC champion who will return to the Octagon after a self-imposed retirement, will face MacDonald in December at UFC on Fox: Henderson vs. Diaz.
MacDonald made mention of his weight on Twitter, posting, “200lbs and (Penn) thinks I care if hes in shape for the fight or not.” Penn’s account replied back with, “Great!!! I (freaking) love knocking out 200 pounders.”
The Canadian prospect at welterweight didn’t stop there, replying back with, “(Penn) do u (mean) knockin back quarter pounders? Who r u kidding, certainly not yourself.” Penn fired back with, “Quarter pounders?? Really pimple boy? I won’t even (rear-naked choke) you…afraid of all the pimples on your back.”
The two have agreed to do special testing in an effort to rid the sport of performance enhancing drugs. It remains to be seen if these two continue to engage in verbal battles prior to stepping inside the Octagon.
