Forrest Griffin Not Planning On Leaving Anytime Soon, Excited For UFC 155 Fight With Chael Sonnen

Former UFC light heavyweight champion Forrest Griffin knows what it feels like to be called the best.

Now, Griffin is forced to deal with constant questions surrounding his future, despite a recent win over Tito Ortiz.

Griffin will return to the Octagon in December to face Chael Sonnen at UFC 155. Griffin recently appeared on The MMA Hour and talked about why he continues to train and fight.

I just love fighting. I know I’m not the best, but I’m still pretty good. There’s a lot of people I can still beat. What do you do. What else am I supposed to do? I have no other skills. I enjoy doing this. There’s nothing I’d really rather do.

Griffin was questioned by UFC president Dana White for his tactics in the Ortiz fight, but he has won three of his last four fights overall and is 19-7 in his career.

I think he enjoys writing books more. Go do that if your not going to be 100% mentally focused for the fights, because when you don’t, fans who like you and believe in you are the ones who feel it the most.

He’s right, there is still people in the UFC he can beat, unfortunately, Sonnen isn’t one of them. Chael will win this one easily, so easily we should prepare to see Forrest leave the octagon running…again
