No Surgery For Travis Browne Following Hamstring Injury At UFC On FX 5

UFC heavyweight Travis Browne will not need to go under the knife, but he will be off his feet for the next few months.

Browne, who was defeated by Antonio Silva in the main event of UFC on FX 5 recently, confirmed that he suffered a torn hamstring in the early stages of the fight.

Competing on one leg, “Hapa” was unable to avoid the big right hand of “Bigfoot,” as Silva stopped him with ground-and-pound in the opening round.

The loss was the first of Browne’s career, dropping “Hapa” to 13-1-1.
