DaMarques Johnson, who rose to prominence by finishing second on The Ultimate Fighter, has been released from the UFC.
Johnson (16-12) accepted a fight with Gunnar Nelson on short notice, and failed to make weight. He was defeated by the debuting Nelson in the first round at UFC on Fuel TV: Struve vs. Miocic.
And the hits keep on coming… No longer a UFC fighter.

Johnson lost for the second time in the last 60 days, as he was also defeated by Mike Swick in August.
