Dan Hardy Still Doesn’t Like Matt Hughes, But Not Really Looking For A Fight

Dan Hardy seems to have his feet back under him as far as his UFC future goes.

Hardy, who seemed poised to be cut following four consecutive defeats, has now won two straight following a victory over Amir Sadollah.

However, the more important matter at hand seems to involve Matt Hughes.

Hardy has been very outspoken towards Hughes due to the former UFC welterweight champions hunting desires. The two have exchanged verbal blows, but nothing has reached talk of an actual match. In fact, it appears Hughes is inclined to remain retired and away from competition.

“I don’t agree with what he does as a person,” said Hardy, in an interview with ESPN recently. “Brock Lesnar’s the same but he’s less in-your-face about (it). It’s the hunting thing, but also you can speak to people who work with Matt Hughes and he doesn’t seem a nice person generally. I don’t like his morals.”

So, riding his win streak, is Hardy ready to call for Hughes to sign on the dotted line?

I get questions on this all the time. My comments aren’t about picking a fight with him. I think he needs his ass kicking but I’m not saying I’m specifically the guy to do it. I really have no overwhelming desire to fight him, this is the misunderstanding. My comments about Matt Hughes are about his character and about him as a person.
