UFC president Dana White will be in Brazil for UFC 153 this weekend.

However, after that, it could be a while before we see White again.

The leader of the largest MMA promotion in the world Tweeted out before heading off to Brazil that he will have surgery for his Meniere’s disease.

Saw the Dr today about my menieres and I’m getn the surgery when I get home from Brazil!!!!! #getmyfuknlifeback

White has been battling the illness for several months now. Meniere’s disease is a disorder of the inner ear that can affect the hearing and balance. With all the travel that White does, it is likely a very difficult situation for him to deal with.

Following UFC 153, the promotion will not have another card until November 10.
