Roy Nelson and Shane Carwin will trade blows in December after the current season of The Ultimate Fighter finishes airing. The two will meet in the main event of The Ultimate Fighter Finale 16.
Prior to filming the show, Nelson and Carwin traded verbal jabs on a seemingly daily basis. Now, it appears “Big Country” wants to set the record straight on how he really feels about Carwin, as he discussed the fighter in an interview with BloodyElbow.com.
You know, I’ve never butted heads with him. The conversations we’ve had have been, ‘Thank you,’ ‘Yes sir,’ ‘No sir,’ things like that. Shane Carwin is the former UFC champion; he’s the greatest thing. I love that guy. I think he’s awesome. I have no ill will toward him.
Nelson, a former TUF champion himself, is looking to re-position himself among the contenders in the division. He is 17-7 overall and defeated Dave Herman in his last fight.
