If Forrest Griffin Needs A Opponent For UFC 155, Antonio Rogerio Nogueira Is Willing

Antonio Rogerio Nogueira has had Forrest Griffin in his sights for a while now.

So, with Griffin losing his scheduled opponent for December and UFC 155, Nogueira decided to jump at the chance to face the ex-UFC light heavyweight champion via Twitter.

Nogueira and Griffin were on deck for UFC 114, but a shoulder injury forced Griffin off the card.

White mentioned during a recent conference call that Griffin will remain on the card, and even hinted that someone is already in his mind to face him. Most have speculated a third meeting between Griffin and Stephan Bonnar, but that won’t keep Nogueira from trying to push his way into the fight.

Griffin/Bonnar probably isn’t going to happen. Bonnar won’t be able to recover from his concussion, get cleared, and have a full training camp in time for a fight in December. It’s theoretically possible for the fight to happen, but I wouldn’t plan on it. The UFC will probably sign Nog/Griffin.
