DREAM will join forces with GLORY this December to put on a New Year’s Eve show from Japan.
The two promotions will hold a press conference on Thursday to announce the merger, according to several sources.
The event, DREAM 18 – Special NYE 2012, is expected to go down from the Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Japan. DREAM last held an event on New Year’s Eve last year, with Fedor Emelianenko taking part in the main event.
GLORY is a kickboxing promotion. The press conference is scheduled for early Thursday morning U.S. time, and several fights are expected to be announced. The show last year went on for several hours and featured MMA, wrestling and special feature bouts.
MMA Fighting first confirmed news of the partnership.
