Stephen Thompson has been removed from a planned encounter with Besam Yousef at November’s UFC 154 event due to a torn meniscus. MMAFighting.com first reported the news of the injury.

Thompson (6-1) was looking to rebound from his first professional loss to Matt Browne. “Wonderboy” was dealt a decision defeat at the hands of Brown after starting his UFC career with a knockout of Dan Stittgen.

The status of Yousef (6-1) for the event remains unknown. He is also coming off a loss, having been submitted by Simeon Thoresen.
