Either Rich Hale or Thiago Santos will move one step closer to possibly becoming the next Bellator heavyweight champion when they meet Friday night at Bellator 79.

Hale and Santos, who each weighed in successfully on Thursday, will battle in a semifinal of the season seven heavyweight tournament.

The main card, which also boasts a featherweight tourney semifinal between Shahbulat Shamhalaev and Mike Richman, will air live on MTV2.
