Martin Kampmann Feels As If Carlos Condit Will Hit Something ‘Crazy’ Vs. GSP At UFC 154

Martin Kampmann will have his hands full come November 17 and UFC 154, as “The Hitman” takes on Johny Hendricks in a possible No. 1 contender match in the UFC’s welterweight division.

However, the main event of that card will see an undisputed UFC 170-pound champion crowned when Georges St-Pierre returns to face Carlos Condit.

Kampmann (20-5) has won three straight fights since back-to-back defeats vs. Diego Sanchez and Jake Shields. In fact, he defeated Condit back in 2009 via split decision. So, how does Kampmann see the GSP-Condit match going? He recently told MMA Weekly:

“I used to think GSP would probably get a victory by taking him down and grinding out a decision, but now that it’s closer to the fight, I’m starting to lean towards Carlos picking up the upset. I’m not sure why, but I could see Carlos hitting GSP with some crazy knee or a spinning-back fist or something crazy, and pull off the upset.”

St-Pierre has not fought since early in 2011, scoring a decision over Jake Shields. Condit claimed the interim title when he bested Nick Diaz, and has waited for GSP to heal up before returning to action.
