Rory MacDonald is set to face former UFC champion BJ Penn this December. Upon urging from Penn, MacDonald agreed to conduct VADA testing as a way to clean up MMA from the use of performance enhancing drugs.
Well, as MacDonald explained during Fuel TV special’s Training Day: Inside Tristar Gym Live on Monday, the random tests have already disrupted him once.
“It’s pretty annoying. I don’t like getting woken up in the morning. It threw my routine off. It was a bit annoying that day, but if it only happens a couple times, I can deal with it.”
MacDonald (13-1) said the company can inquire a test at anytime. The bout with Penn (16-8-2) is set for December 8 from Seattle at UFC on Fox: Henderson vs. Diaz.
