We could be in for a face-off between UFC welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre and UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva on November 17.
Talk of Silva attending UFC 154 was confirmed by UFC president Dana White on Wednesday, prompting more questions about a potential super-fight between GSP and “The Spider.”
As best he could, St-Pierre deflected question after question concerning Silva, insisting his complete attention was on Carlos Condit – his opponent November 17 in the main event.
White, however, answered the Silva-GSP situation by saying, “No doubt Anderson Silva is showing up to cheer Georges St-Pierre on. He wants him to win this fight and wants to fight him after.”
Since defeating Stephan Bonnar, Silva has talked about wanting to meet St-Pierre at a catch-weight. White said such a bout would likely go down in one of three places: Toronto, Brazil or Cowboy Stadium in Dallas.
