UFC welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre has again enlisted the help of Dan Hardy ahead of his planned return November 17 vs. Carlos Condit. The two will meet to unify the UFC welterweight titles at UFC 154 in Montreal.
Hardy was shown during Monday’s Fuel TV special, “Training Day: Inside Tristar Gym Live.” Firas Zahabi, the man who runs the gym, confirmed during an interview on the broadcast that Hardy will be helping St-Pierre plan for Condit.
He’s a special guest this week to spar with Georges. He fought Condit. When he was fighting Condit, it was neck and neck. Yes, he got stopped by Condit, but I think it was one-inch away from being the other way around. It was very close.
Hardy suffered his second consecutive defeat – the first being a title fight with GSP – at the hands of Condit in 2010. “The Natural Born Killer” dropped him in England, scoring a first round KO victory.
Hardy has since won two consecutive fights to stay alive in the UFC. He does not have a future bout scheduled at this time.
