Final Strikeforce Event Will Take Place In Oklahoma City

Well, Oklahoma MMA fans will get an opportunity to see the end of Strikeforce, as Oklahoma City has been selected as the host for the January 12 card.

The event will feature three title fights and Daniel Cormier in action. More bouts are expected to be announced shortly.

“We’ve built an absolutely stacked card for Oklahoma City and the Showtime viewers,” Strikeforce CEO Scott Coker said. “We have three awesome title fights featuring some of the best fighters to ever grace the Strikeforce cage.”

Thursday night, it was reported that Strikeforce will fold up show following the card, with the majority of the main event fighters expected to join the UFC.

Strikeforce was originally set to air an event on Showtime from Oklahoma City earlier this month, but that card was cancelled. It marked the second such event to be scrapped by the promotion.
