Doctors have put a nix on a potential Ronda Rousey-Cris Cyborg 135-pound match in the UFC.
Cyborg’s team informed MMAWeekly.com that the former champion was told by her cardiologist that she cannot drop to that weight. Doing so could potentially keep her from carrying a child later in life, something Cyborg would not risk.
Rumors of a weight class consisting of 135 pounds for females in the UFC has yet to be confirmed by the promotion. Rousey is expected to enter as champion after winning the belt from Miesha Tate earlier this year. She successfully defended it against Sarah Kaufman, as well.
