Cris Cyborg Informed She Cannot Drop To 135 Pounds

Doctors have put a nix on a potential Ronda Rousey-Cris Cyborg 135-pound match in the UFC.

Cyborg’s team informed that the former champion was told by her cardiologist that she cannot drop to that weight. Doing so could potentially keep her from carrying a child later in life, something Cyborg would not risk.

Rumors of a weight class consisting of 135 pounds for females in the UFC has yet to be confirmed by the promotion. Rousey is expected to enter as champion after winning the belt from Miesha Tate earlier this year. She successfully defended it against Sarah Kaufman, as well.

yep we have heard this before when it was being considered as a 135 title fight. So why not do a catchweight of a champ vs champ fight like Anderson-GSP ? Make it at 140 or just have Ronda Rousey go back where she came from and fight at 145 again just like she did when she first fought in Strikeforce. Many are forgetting that she was a 145er and was considered a title challenger at that weight first, when Cyborg was running out of opponents. But then Rousey decided to lose weight (some of her babby fat) and go down to 35 where she jumped the line of Sarah Kaufman to face Miesha Tate. Make Rousey go back to 145 ! simple fix or stop all this bullcrap promoting and let Ronda know the balls are in her court so step up or get to stepping and stop talking about it.
