The next season of The Ultimate Fighter will are on a familiar night, as the reality series returns to Wednesday nights. MMAFighting.com confirmed with UFC president Dana White that the show will shift off Fridays and head to Wednesdays on FX.
UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones and Chael Sonnen will be the coaches. The two are currently filming the series, which is set to begin in January. They will square off in April.
Chuck Safler, an FX Executive Vice President, confirmed during a previous press conference that the series was moving off Fridays beginning in 2013. At that time, Safler was unsure which date would be used to air TUF.
The series aired on Wednesday during its strong run on Spike TV. However, upon the UFC and Fox working out a contract, the decision was made to air TUF on Friday nights.
