Bellator appears to have a debut date set for 2013 and Spike TV, as MMAjunkie.com confirmed with the New Jersey State Athletic Control Board that the promotion has reserved Atlantic City’s Boardwalk Hall for Thursday, January 10.
Bellator will be moving to Spike TV in January after a run on MTV2. Both are owned and operated by Viacom.
Bjorn Rebney has stated in the past that he hopes to complete all season seven tournament matches by the end of 2012 and start with season eight battles on Spike TV in January. No bouts have been made official yet, but the event would likely be Bellator 85.
This news could also give us a better understanding of when The Ultimate Fighter will air on FX, as FX officials have stated in the past they might go head-to-head with Bellator on Spike TV.
